MARSH WEAR CLOTHING

My Relationship with Marsh Wear

My connection with Marsh Wear began last year during the lead-up to the first-ever Log Pile surf contest. Marsh Wear reached out offering to support the event. I was stoked, not just because I respected the brand, but because it felt like a natural and local fit. I appreciated that they saw value not just in the contest, but in the bigger picture of what I was trying to build.

Since then, we’ve worked on a handful of projects together — from content creation to product testing — and the relationship has continued to evolve. One of the highlights was a content acquisition trip to Panama, which I pitched, planned, and participated in. The idea was to capture an authentic last minute surf trip: two close friends chasing waves, documenting the journey, and putting Marsh Wear gear to the test in real conditions. I brought in my buddy Oliver Meredith, who’s not only one of the most talented photographers I know, but someone who understands our lifestyle and how to capture it honestly. So, with Oliver behind the lens and myself in front we set off down to Bocas del Toro and had a time!

I’m far from a pro surfer, and I don’t pretend to be one. But I do surf just about every day I can. I care deeply about the surf community, especially on the East Coast, and I’ve built a small but meaningful presence on Instagram where I try to showcase my surfing, brands that I trust, and the kind of life we live when we’re in between trips. I think that’s part of why brands like Marsh Wear have been open to working with me: I bring a mix of creative direction, reliability, and actual on-the-ground experience — not just as a surfer, but as a builder of something that resonates with people.

Here’s some of what we captured:
